Arm Lift

Brachioplasty, or armlift, is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin from the upper arm. It is a procedure that commonly is performed in patients who have lost a large amount of weight and are left with excessive loose and sagging skin on the arms. This excess skin can be removed from incision along the back of the arm, tightening and improving the contour of the arm.  This can be modified to include loose skin along the armpit and lateral chest wall as well and is called a torsoplasty.

Am I A Candidate for an Arm Lift?

If you have lost massive amounts of weight and have excessive loose and sagging skin along the upper arms, then you may be a candidate for an arm lift. Some patients with minimal excess skin and good skin elasticity may be a candidate for liposuction to better contour the arm. Some patients with excess skin and excess fat may benefit from a combination of skin excision and liposuction. Some patients with minimal excess fat will require skin excision alone.

These procedures can also be performed with select other body contouring procedures to improve recovery and reduce downtime. During your consultation with Dr. Bindewald, you will work together to develop a plan to help achieve your aesthetic goals safely.
