Thigh Lift
Thigh lift or “thighplasty” is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin from the inner thigh. It is a procedure that commonly is performed in patients who have lost a massive amount of weight and have excessive volumes of loose and sagging skin along the inner thighs. Liposuction can also be performed at the time of a thigh lift to mobilize the loose skin for excision and to avoid excising blood vessels and lymphatics that can be spared by performing liposuction prior to excision of skin only.
This procedure can tighten the loose skin on the inner thigh but involves a scar that can run down the entire length of the thigh when an extensive amount of skin is removed. Shorter scars can be used for less extensive amounts of loose skin. Thigh lifts usually produces a tightened and more youthful and attractive appearance to the inner thigh and can complement a lower body lift nicely in overall lower body rejuvenation after massive weight loss.
